A theological college has been built on the battlefield of Isandula. At its opening ninny ordained Zulus were present- in sui> plice and cassock. The making of spools and the sawing of wood for them have assumed such immense proportions that they arc classed among the leading industries of Maine. Not all tho spool bars sawed in Maine are made into spools within the ,State, but are shipped to Europe, About 15,000,000 ft are sent across the water annually, chiefly to Scotland, one-half of the total being shipped by one concern, almost all in steamships. •
