The captains of County clubs have agreed that ifc is desirable to increase the width of wickets to nine incites. They also adopted a proposal by Mr Maclarcn, and seconded by Mr Jessop, that only three Test Matches should be played with Australian elevens, and a week devoted to each. The propositions will bs submitted to tho Marylebone Sub'-committec, and then to ths full committee. '
THE RETURN OF THE AUSTRALIANS. (Received Dec. 10, 10.18 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 10. In the presence of a large gathering, at the Town Hall, the Lord Mayor welcomed the Australian Eleven. (Received Dec. 11, 12.6 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 10. The New South Wales thirteen to play the Australian eleven ,on Friday are : Mackay, Hickson, Marsh, M'Beth, Cuffe, I'ye, Farrruhar, C. Gregory, Ebsworth, Duff, Loveridge, Howard and Diamond.
