The Sydenham aaid Addiagton. eleven beat InveU in the first innings by 80 runs, the soores being 173 against 93 rims. For the former. Young SO, Hunsley 49, Gassonj 21, T. Reese 16 and) Joll 15, and for Irwelli Graham 34, Flannery 20, Rennie 17, batted) best. Coe for Irwell and Joll, Young and) Reese for the town team bowled best. Mrs Bates supplied luncheon, and the Engineers' Band played selections of musio during the afternoon.
A game was played at Rangic-ra, yesterday between Rangiora, and a team from the Qhristchureh banks. The latter, batting first, put toge'Uher 74 (Williams 24 and' 01livier 19), and in their second innings 65 (Tapper 14). Rangiora. totalled 1 105 in its first innings (Wilder 34, Wilson. 13, Chapman 10 not out) and 31 in their second. The visitors thus won by 3 runs.
