Mr L. T. Wartkins, on Ms leaving the Crown Printing Office to take up a> position of greater responsibility in Wellington, was presented by the staff -with a. handsome gold-mounted pendant. Mr Watkins suitably replied to the many expressions of esteem and good wishes which accompanied the gift. Mr P. M'Cullough, who is leaving Akaroa, for Christchurch, was, on Friday last, tendered' a farewell supper at Ilfracombe House by the boating and football clubs. Mr A. E. M'Pregor, captain of the Boating Club, was in the chair, and in proposing the health of the guest, presented Mr M'Oulloughj with a case of razors as a small memento of his stay in Akaroa. Mr F. M'Cullough ■suitably replied.. Mr F. M'Cullough was alao the recipient of a handsome writing desk from the members of the Presbyterian Choir, of which he had been conductor. On Friday afternoon the employees of Mr Andrews's Waikuku Twine Mills gathered to bid goodbye to Mr F.
