MORRIS-TUBE SHOOTING.

On. Saturday night the annual match was fired at Rangiora between ithe Canterbury and North Canterbury Morris-tube Associations, each being represented by twenty men. The visiting team drove 'from Christchurch, ' arriving at iabout eight o’clock, and: the shooting ended just before eleven.' o’clock. The match was a closely-contested one throughout. Up to the tenth North Canterbury maintained a slight lead. The next two competitors finished with the score a tie, and then the visitors took the lead, ■ whichi_ they held to the end 1 , winning by eight points. The scores were as follow;—Canterbury Association—Sapper Hearn 35, Mr Wells 35, Lieutenant Brice 34, Private Peacock 34, Piper Pago 34, Corporal Morrow 83, Sergeant Johnson 33, Lieutenant Willoughby 33, Corporal Williams 33. Private Wattohop 33, Sapper Beaumont 33, Lieutenant Jones 33, Sergeant Bonifant 32, Sergeant Turtill 32, Sergeant Smith 3‘2, Lance-Corporal Lester 32, Quarter-master-Sergeant Kiddey 31, Sergeant M. Moir 30, Corporal Hartigam 80 and Sergeant Watkins 80 j total, 652. North Canterbury—J. Garland 35, C. Fraser 35, C. Nanikerville 84, W. Lee 83, J. Ballinger 33, A. Thompson 33, P. Murray 38, W. Jack 29; total, 644. After the match ended the visitors were entertained at isupper. Last year the match was won by North Canterbury by ten points', and the previous year the result was a tie.
