[Per Press Association.] TV ELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Tho Supreme Court sat to-night, in order to finish the case Brown v. Tea-re, a claim) for £2OOO, brought by an ex-convict against a gaol surgeon for alleged improper treatment. The jury, after twenty minutes’ re-' tirement, returned a verdict in favour of the defendant. Judgment was entered accordingly, with costs according to scale.
