(Received June 23; 10.27 ip-m.) - SYDNEY, June 23. The Arbitration Court discussed an application! by the Australian Workers' Union for. cancellation of the [registration! of the Machine Shearers' Union. The grounds of the application were that the Workers' Union represented the same interests and provided for admission to membership of such persons as joined the Machine Union. Against this it was urged that the constitution! of the Workers' Union contained objectionable rules, entitling the Machine to enrol as a separate body. Special objection was taken to the rules providing for assistance from the funds of the Union to support re-elected Labour candidates and .a newspaper. The President of the Court and the employers' representative opposed and the employees' representative favoured cancellation. The President, in the course of his ruling, declared that some rules of the Wonkers' Union were illegal.
