AQUATIC.
AVON ROWING CLUB. A very successful social gathering in connection with the Avon, Rowing Cluib was held at the Bo&thouse on Tuiesd'ay last, when the club's annual smoke concert audi presentation of prizes took place. There was an attendance o>f about ninety members and friends.' The first part of the evening was devoted to a progressive euchre tournament, in which the prizes were won by Messrs W. Kieates and W. Kerr and the booby prizes by 'Messrs M'Jannet and' East. After supper Mr C. Allard (Vice-President) presented trophies to the following winning'crows:—Trial Pairs, C. 4 Watson and A. Woods; Club Pairs, C. Baa-nett and S. Peters; Club Fours, H. A.' Blewett, F. Deighton, H. Kennedy andi T. Maclay; Chaßenge Cup Double Sculls,' IT. Kennedy and H. A. Blewett. During the evening a musical programme was gone through under the direction of Messrs Good and Smith.
