The weather is extremely unpleasant, a hot northerly wind blowing and the temperature being 103 in the shade. Disastrous bush fires are raging in many ■districts. ' Taylor's Westfield Estate, at Kilmore, was swept, and the wool-shed, with many late sheep, including a number of valuable stud rams, destroyed. Great damage was done on the Macedon State Nursery.
