SMUGGLING IN FRANCE.

PARIS, Dec. 27.
Derobert, the leader of a gang of two hundred and twenty-five French smugglers, has been arrested at Pontarlier, on the Swiss frontier. Enormous Customs frauds have been perpetrated. One method was to conceal goods in cushions and under the floor of railway carriages crossing and recrossing the frontier.
