SYDENHAM SWIMMING- CLUB. The Sydenham Swimming Club held a very pleasant meeting on Saturday afternoon:, when two swimming events, two diving events, and a po'.o match formed the programme*. The following were the officials:—Referee, Mr A. Francis; judges, Messrs G. J. C. Smart, Scales, A. M. Sims, and W. Johnson; starters, Messrs C. Kent, J. W. Davis and! J. W. Butler; time-keepers, Messrs Smart and Francis; secretary, Mr J. C. K. Sibbald. Following are the results: 50yds HANDICAP.—First heat: V. Drake 3sec and J. 11. Denby Usee, 1. H. E. Boulton Gsec and H. A. Rhine! Usee 'also started. Time—32sec. Second heat: F. iStokes, 3sec, 1. H. O. Squires 7sec, W. Johnston lOsec and B. S. Knox 13sec also started'. Time— Slsec. Third heat: J. F. Goodwin, 9sec, 1. H. Wauchop 4sec, W. A. Howisori 6sec, E. A. Hardie 7sec and P. M. Stuart 9sec also started. Time—37 Fourth hea«: J. S'. Wauchop, 4sec, 1. J. C. Sibbald 7sec, A. M. Sims 9sec, F. G. Williams lOsec and L. Sibbald 13sec also started. Tim«—3l 3-ssec. Fifth heat: T. C. Patterson, Usee, 1. G. Rich 4sec, 0. Ormandy 7sec, W. Mitten 12sec and H. Bradey 13sec also started. Time—33sec. Final: J. F. Goodwin, 9sec, 1; J. S. Wauchop, 4sec, 2. Time—37 2-ssec. POLO MATCH.—A polo match was played between teams representing the Sydenham and Dunedinm Clubs. ' The following were the teams: fmnedin: A. M. Sims (captain), D. M. Stewart, R. E. Boulton, W. Johnston, F. G. Williams, T. E. Patterson and G. Dry. Sydenham: J. C. Sibbald, C. Schneider, T. Gill, C. Kent (captain), A. Brunsden, R. E. Hall 'and I*. Sibbald. Play was even in the firssb spell, but Johnston and Stewart, for Dunedin, each scoredi a goal in the second spell, Dunedin thus winning by two goals to nil.
