MARKET REPORTS.

HORSE SALES. The entry of horses at Tattersalfs on Saturday ■was small, only 65 coming to hand A few draughts of medium quality brought from £22 to £3O. A few good harness horses sold from £l6 to £24; medium from 1 £lO to £l4. Hacks maintained their usual prices. PIGS AND POULTRY. There was a good entry of poultry at Saturday’s sales. Ducks brought from 4s 6d to 5s 9d, roosters 5s 6d to 4s 3d, pullets 2s 6d to ss, hens 2s 6d to 3s. The entry for pigs was the best received for some time, and they were of a very good class, weaners brought from 6s to 10s 9d, store pigs from 11s 9d to 17s 6d, and! porkers from 21s to 295.

KIRWEE. The Kirwee monthly sale was held on Friday, when 5850 sheep were yarded. There was a good attendance of farmers and dealers. Bidding was brisk for fat and forward wethers and hoggets, and the only class for which competition was a 1 bit dragging was ewes in lamb, the demand being slightly easier. With the exception of a line hoggets, paissedl at 12s lid, and a line of 750 merino ewes in lamb, th© whole of th© entry was sold at auction, or privately, at the following prices: Freezing wethers, 17s lid to 20s; forward wethers, 15s Id to 17s 6d ; well-grown hoggets, 14s 2d to 14s 4d; smaller sorts, 9s to 11s; merino ewes and lambs, aged, 7s 3d, all counted; cross-bred, 6s 3d to 8s ; crossbred ewes, in lamb, 15s 4d; eight-tooth half-bred 19s 6d, merinos, aged, 9s to 10s. Amongst the principal sales were—For Mr J. Dysart, 225 freezing wethers at 20s; for Mr R. Johnson, 257 at 19s 9di; for Mr J. Beaman, 110 at 19s 2d; for Mr G. Robertson, 60 at 19s.
