PRESENTATIONS.

A very pleasant ceremony took place at a “’social” held in connection with St Mark’s Church, Marshlands, last Friday evening. The Rev F. Dunnage, on behalf of the church and choir, presented Mr R. Walter with a handsome silver-mounted writing desk as a token of gratitude to Mr Walter for the services he has rendered ks organist of the church. Mr \yalter acknowledged the gift. During the evening music was contributed and refreshments were handed round by the ladies. •At the usual fortnightly meeting of Court Ashburton A.0.F., held on Monday evening, a handsome P.C.R. neck ribbon and emblem were presented 'to Bro D. Amos, Immediate Part Chief Ranger.
