CURRENT NOTICES.
The following meetings will be held today:—Royal Humane Society, at offices, Armagh Street, 3 p.m.; Waiwhero Sluicing and Dredging Company, annual meeting, at offices, 140, Hereford Street, 3 p.m.; Canterbury Hockey Association, at City Hall, Cambridge Terrace, 7.30 p:m. The annual social gathering and distribution of prizes of the Sydenham Amateur Swimming Club will be held this evening. The annual concert and social gathering of Orangemen '.' in" connection with the .Twelfth of July celebrations will, be held at the Canterbury Hall this evening. The proceeds will be in aid of the Jubilee Memorial Fund. An indignation meeting of citizens in connection with the liquor trade will be held on Monday evening. The speakers will include the Rev Drs Elmslie-and Erwin, the Revs C. H. Laws, W. Baumber, J. J. Doke, R. J. Murray, C. E. Ward and Mr T. E. Taylor.
