Mr Lam-en son is to ask the Minister of Railways whether, other things being equal, he will lor the. futuTO,.give special consideration to applicatibns for- lads for appointments in the Railway. Department when these, lads. are. members, of large faimilies; the Minister of Edu.-ca.tion whether be will'take steps to, have a dental inspection made at regular intervals of the children attending-lie public schools, of: the colony; the Minister of Marine whether he will make arrangements' for the Marine and Customs Department to. keep a full supply of all charts likely to be, required 'by vessels trading to other parts of the world from New Zealand,' or else, if not, whether h? will arrange for some private firm to suppta these charts. Mr ELI is to ask the Minister of Lands if he will this session introduce legislation amending the law so as to enable stoats, weasels and ferrets, to be taken and killed in districts where there is no "rabbit nuisance. TUESDAY, JULY 16. Mr Flatman is to ask the Minister of D.eiferice. if he will increase the annual allowance' of ball cartridges distributed free to each adult Volunteer. Mr Meredith is to ask the Premier if it is. the intention of the Government to introduce this session ai measure dealing with the question of enlarging the scope of the operations of the Agricultural College, Lincoln, so as to provide that a larger number of boys of the colany might participate in the benefits of the scientific and practical training given in that institution, and so give effect to the. promise of the. Premier made in a speech delivered at the opening of the Agricultural Show, Christchurch, on Thursday, May 30 last. FRIDAY, JULY 19. Mr G. W. Russell, is to ask" the Minister of Railways if.be, will consider, the desirability of stating., in the railway returns published from time to time, the amount of cash revenue and the value of the services rendered fox, other departments of. the State, as is done in connection with the post and telegraph returns; the Minister of Railways if he will, in accordance with bis recent statement in the House, introduce legislation to enable the. employees in the respective trades at the various railway workshops in the colony to come under the operations of the Conciliation, and Arbitration, Act; the Minister of Railways if he, in preparing estimates of expenditure for the present year, will consider the desirability c.f extending' and enlarging the railway station at Addington. Mr Russell is to move that there be laid, before the House a return showing the a>mount of revenue received by the- Railway Department from each department of the public service during the financial year ended March 31, 1901, showing, in different columns, the amount for (a) passengers', (b> season tickets, and (c) goods traffic.
