OPERA HOUSE.
■' The change of programme advertised for last evening : drew-a. crowded house to greet the Dix Gaiety Company, and'the new artistes were accorded a most enthusiastic ;reeeptioa. Les Thiercs .Quartette were 'again very successful in their acrobatic and cortortiori feats, and Little Tich was also well"received, but the piece' de resistance was Messrs Johnson, Riano and Behtley's act, "The Monkeys and the Farmer." Funnier even than the Haytors, the antios of the two monkeys kept the audience in a state of hilarity. Their clever acrobatic feats never failed to elicit a round of. applause, and the climax was reached-when they commenced to.,play with the farmer's loaded gun, which, of course, went off. Ab the Conclusion of the act the performers were called before the curtain several times. Another new artist, Miss Marie Terry, also met a cordial, reception, and she was thrice encored .for .her singing and. dancing. Miss Annie • Kminaird and Mr W. .Neilson were also recalled for their duet, "Ah che lai. Morte." The programme will' be repeated, this evening, and next Monday.night the Galardi Sisters.and Miss.E. Rosserwill appear,' and Mr Wallace King will reappear. ' . .
