At the steep-breeders’ annual show the entries display an increase over those of last year. Mr James Gibson (Tasmania), Mr W. T. Horsfall, and Mr S. M’Oaughey (New South Wales), were the principal prize-takers in the merino sections, hlr Wallace (New South Wales), took all the firsts and the Grand Champion prize for Lincolns, Mr R. Cobb (Manakau), taking four seconds, Mr Cobb also taking (two seconds and a third for Romneys, Mr Simonds (Tasmania), took the Grand Champion prize for Shropsbires.
