CARPENTER’S DANGEROUS PREDICAMENT.

A Gympde (Q.) carpenter’s dangerous predicament is thus described by a reporter. “ When I called upon Jabez Taylor, a rising young carpenter of Appolonian Vale, Gympie, I was aware that interesting information was to be obtained. . Mr Taylor’s narrative did not disappoint me.” “You already know,” said Mr Taylor, “ that I am a carpenter by trade, and it was really through my work that the circumstances leading to my narrow escape occurred, , We often work out of doors, and two years ago I contracted a chill. Shortly after, my joints began to swell and my movements were greatly hampered. I was soon forced to take to my bad; medical assistance was summoned 1 , and it was found that I had a severe attack of rheumatic fever. I lay prostrate for six weeks, my whole body being racked with pain; I could not bear to be either touched or moved. Only the lightest food was allowed me, and 1 grew' fearfully thin 'and weak. I suffered so severely that it waa feared my heart would be affected fatally. I was nearly at death’s door, and my people all despaired of m’y life. Of all the medicines I took none seemed to afford any great relief. My parents were almost in despair, when it occurred! to them to give me Dr Wiliams’ pink pills for pale people. After taking two boxes. I felt decidedly better. The course was persevered with, and I am glad to say a complete and absolute .cure was effected. My strength returned gradually, I left my bed, and later on was able to resume work. Six boxes of Dr Williams’ pink pills undoubtedly brought me back to life and strength.” For the after effects of rheumatic, scarlet and typhoid fevers, debility and anaemia, and all diseases of the blood and nerves, Dr Williams’ pink pills are pre-eminently suited. They enrich the blood', strengthen the spine, and thus induce perfect health. They cure rheumatism, sciatica, neuralgia, consumption of the bowels and lungs, bronchitis, liver and kidney troubles, diarrhoea, paralysis, loss of manly strength, etc. They are also an ideal ladies’ medicine; bright eyes and rosy cheeks follow their use.
