News from the islands states that influenza is prevalent among the natives of the Solomons and adjacent groups, causing high mortality. SUICIDE. {Received. June 24, 10.45 p.m.) Dr Thomas Henry O'Reilly, aged thirtyseven, until recently practising at Huntly, New Zealand, committed suicide by puncturing the femoral artery with a safetypin. A few weeks ago he come to Sydney for the benefit of his health, and on Saturday was caught attempting to shoot himself.
