The Wainuna dredge will not wash up till Monday. ’ The return will he about the same as last week.' . - , •Owing to the non-arrival of a screen, tbe .Nelson Creek dredge did not close down last week, and the return as not to hand, hut it will he about 30oz, as predicted. , The Maori Queen return small, and the wash is etffl ’tight and difficult to work. lt : is to ho hoped that the Maori King Company, will construct >a more powerful dredge than the Maori Queen dredge, as the wash to bo treated is similar. ■ Pactolus is still ; in failings. .and the return from the 'New River dredge would hare been more had it not been for bad weather end the high elate of the river.
