Although the tracks were heavy,-nearly all ihe_ horses en gaged at the meeting were out _this morning, and some good work was done. Venture, Kauri Gum and Rhino went once round over country in company. Kauri Gum fell at the double, and Rhino then, went a round alone, jumping well. ‘Social P est, looking fit, SSrt tWrounds and a half at three-guartei: pace. Moifa, who looks well after his Auckland trip, was restricted to slow work, and a number of . other horses cantered.
