• [Peb PbeSs Association.] AUCKLAND, June 21. At . the Police Court this morning, James A. Gorrie, auctioneer,, was charged, on the information of George Tuck, with having obtained £35 from the informant by means of false pretences. Defendant did nob ap> pear, and the Magistrate ordered a warrant to be issued for his arrest on a fresh information. Defendant has not been Seen in town since Monday last. He is supposed to have left for Sydney, by the Waikare that evening. The alleged offence was committed on Deo. 19 of last year.
