A LIBEL ACTION.
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN. June 22. Dr Coughtrey has applied for a new trial of his action against the “ Star,” on the ground that the verdict of the jury was against the weight of evidence and perverse, and as the defendant failed to prove any facts on which the article was based, the only question for the jury was the amount of damages the plaintiff was entitled to recover.
