PRESENTATIONS.
At .the Farmers’ Co-operative Association yesterday afternoon, Mss N. Brady was presented; with a handsome gold brooch by her feUow-employees in the dressmaking department, on the occasion of her leaving. Mr J. B. Bain made the presentation. Mr R. B. Restell, who for some years has occupied the position of manager of Messrs Reid and Gray’s Ashburton 'branch, was en tertained at a banquet at the' Oddfellows’ Hall,. Ashburton, on Thursday evening, prior to his departure for Waikato, where he takes up a position in the local branch of the New Zealand Loon and Mercantile Agency Company. About ninety sat down. Mr J. Mdcolmson presided. The toast of the guest was received with musical honours, and many farmers and others present testified to the esteem in which Mr Restell was held in the district. Mr Restell suitably responded. The Chairman asked his acceptance erf a. purse of sovereigns, subscribed by his’ Ashburton friends.
