CHRISTCHURCH LIBRARY.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I beg permission to draw attention to the hurry displayed by the person in the' Library whose duty it apparently is to arrange the chairs and books ready for closing, before the clock finishes striking the hour. For at least -ten minutes before nine, he starts his work of arranging in a noisy manner that shows little regard fox the comfort of the reading public. In. most of the larger centres 10 p.m. is the hour for closing; If the morals of this fair city requires closing at nine instead, I think that the readers are entitled to enjoy peace up to that hour.—l am, etc., VISITOR.
