LIVING PICTURES OF ROYALTY.
To-night, at the Theatre Royal, Messrs Cooper and Macdermott will submit to a Christchurch audience their living pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York's tour of the colonies. The series begins with the embarkation on the Ophir, and the onlooker is taken from Portsmouth to Australia, where the landing at St Kilda is shown, the reception by the Melbourne people, and the laying of the foundation stone at Ballarat. Messrs Cooper and Macdermott pride themselves on the excellence of the last-mentioned film, as well as en the fact that the Duke remains on the screen for a considerable time, and an excellent picture of him is given as he* laid the foundation stone. The programme generally is full and varied.
