PRESENTATIONS.
A social gathering was held in the Linwood Football Clubrooms on Wednesday The rooms were well filled with members and their friends, and Mr M. Fanning was in the, chair. An excellent musical programme was submitted, and during tho evening several presentations were made. Sir Gaw, of the First Fifteen, was presented with a silver tea-set, as a wedding gift. Mr Brunsden was presented with a travelling companion, on the occasion of his departure from Christchurch for Wellington ; and the following members were presented with small gold footballs: — Messrs C. Evans, best forward, and E. Ryde, best back in last year's Junior Flag competition ;" Messrs R. M'Namara, best forward, and C. HeTvoy, best back in last year's President's Cup competition; and Mr J. Vartha, for most new members proposed during last' season. Auld Lang Syne closed the meeting.
