FLOODS IN THE NELSON DISTRICT. [Pee. Pkess Association.] NELSON, June 19. •A severe north-east gale, accompanied by heavy ram, raged last night, and all the livers in the district are high in flood. Ab Takaka the township was under -water during the night. Water also entered several houses at Brightwater.' Two'breaches were made in the Stoke end of the Rocks Road Wall.. The rainfall for June to date is nearly seven inches, as against only three-quarters of an inch for the whole-of May.
