The British, by a rapid night march, surprised and routed the Mad Mullah at Somali, capturing 5000 cattle. -The main column proceeded to the Mullah’s camp at Gohip. Meanwhile the Mullah,' -with several thousand followers, fiercely attacked a zariba at Somali, defended by 300 British. The enemy were twice repulsed, losing 500. The British casualties numbered nineteen. , '
