River Plate mutton —Crossbred or merino wethers, heavy 4d, light unchanged. New Zealand beef, 1801 bto 2201 b per quarter, fair average quality ox, forequarters, 3-^d. (Last week’s quotations were:—Frozen mutton —Cross-bred wethers and muiaen ewes, Canterbury 4fd, Dunedin and Southland 4|d, North Island 4J,d. New Zealand beef—lßolb to 220ib per quarter, fair average quality ox, forequarters 3£d, hindquarters 4d. River Plate mutton, heavy 4 l-16d, light 3gd.) Hemp is steady. Wellington January and March shipment £22 per ton. Lead is quoted at £l4 16s 3d per ton. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London Office, under date Feb. 15: The frozen meat market is quiet. The present value of prime New Zealand mutton is 4|d, and lamb per lb. Queensland mutton is worth 3|d, lamb sd, hindquarters of beef 3|d, and lore-quarters 3£d per lb.
