CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, Feb. 15. (Before Mr .1. M. Thompson, J.P., and Mr W. H. Cooper, J.P.) Drtjxken'xlss,—A first offender, an old man, was convicted and discharged. City By-laws.— For having driven a vehicle at other than a walking pace across the intersection of High and Manchester Streets on Feb. 1, Hugh M’Farlane was fined 5a and costs, —James Summer, for having driven a vehicle along Manchester Street on the evening of Jan. 30’without lights, was fined 10s and costs.—Patrick Picker and Gertrude Barker were each fined 10s and costs for having ridden their bicycles without lights. Prohibition Order. —On the application of his wife, a prohibition order was granted against a man, to take effect in the Christchurch and surrounding districts.
