The following meeting will be held 1 to- • Canterbury Cricket Association, Clarendon Hotel, 8 p.m. ; Canterbury Athletic and Cycling Club, smoko concert, at rooms, Cambridge Terrace, 8 pan. The President of the Avonsjde Lawn. Tenuis Club will entertain the visitors at the courts, at 2.30 p m. to-tlny. A public meeting, in connection with the Vegetarian Society will be held at the rooms, Palace Buildings, Gloucester Street, at eight o’clock this evening. ' Special trains in connection .with (he Canterbury Jockey Club’s races, which take place at Riccarton to-day, are advertised in this issue. The annual meeting of the Canterbury ''.Vomen’s Institute will be held at the rooms, Gloucester Street, uf 2.50 p.m. to-morrow. The annual carnival of the. East Christchurch Swimming Club will be held on Saturday afternoon.
