RAM FAIR.
GOOD PRICES. [Per Press Association.] WANGANUI, Feb. 13. Messrs Freeman Jackson and Co.’s sale at the Central Ram Fair began to-day ■with a catalogue of 800 animals, mostly Lincolns. The attendance was very large and the bidding spirited. Leicester's were ia good demand and few, rams were passed :<mfc unsold. There- were, however, no sensational price's. Siiropshi-res bred by Mr John Grigg - averaged! £5 Is; English Leicester bred by Mr A. Martin averaged £6; Border Leicester's brod by Mr Boag ’averaged ,£5 19s , 4d; those bred by Mr Holmes, £5 Tls 4cl, and-the New Zealand Land Company’s £6 12s sd. In Lincolns Mr William -Wilson’s flocks topped the market, twenty averaging £6 3s lid, Messrs-Pony- Bros, following with £5 7s 7d. In stud Lincolns Mr William Wilson's twenty averaged £ls 10s 9d. Mr Wilson obtained thirty guineas each for two rams, the highest price made.- .Mr J. B. Sutton’s averaged £9 Is 6d, the highest 2&I guineas; Air R. Bremer’s £8 11s 9d, the highest 24| guineas; the Hon J. D. Ormond’s £7.4s 4d.
