Mr' Justice Mathew has ordered the Amalgamated Railway Servants’ Union to pay the £IOOO damages recently awarded against the Railway Servants’ organ, from the Union funds. A FATAL DUEL, y (Received Feb. 13, 9.41 p.m.) BERLIN, Feb. 12. Staff-Surgeon Rueger, of the German Army, challenged Captain Adams, at Metz, for an insult to Lieutenant Rueger, of the same regiment, the surgeon wishing to spare his brother a duel because be was married. Adams was shot dead, and. Rueger has been sentenced to twelve years’ penal servitude, and cashiered the Army. It was argued at the trial that he wished only to disable Adams.
