SUPREME COURT.
[Per Peess Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 9,
At the Supreme Court, a Syrian, named Hamib Keiroz, charged with arson, was admitted to probation. In the case of Walter Phillips, an insurance manager, charged with fraud on the Imperial Insurance Company, by means of a bogus fire, an application for probation was refused, and a sentence of fifteen months' imprisonment was .imposed.
