BROKER: P. HOARE, Manchester Street, Christchurch. (To Whom .Applications tor Shares Should bo Made). This Company is being formed to Acquire and Work Mining Areas in New Zealand, and in particular a Mining Area- consisting of about 100 Acres on the Waiho River and adjoining beaches, which is held under Prospecting Dredging License applied for under Miners’, Right No. 9754! Mr W. D. Verchoylo, M.E., M-.1.M.E., reports that he has an intimate. knowledge of the Coast and acts as Trustee for the Vendor Syndicate, on whoso behalf he has chosen this property out of a 'large numbsr of others offered. Mr E. Roberts estimates tho cost of erecting a suitable dredge’at £6500. Mr W. Patrick and ten 'miners who are at present working upon or close to this claim, express their opinion .and certify that they have -saved about £14,858 worth of gold. The Okarito and Waiho Districts are well known for the immense quantities of gold that has been found there inthe past. Mr'Alex. Cowan, one of the experts ■ of the ptngo Gold Prospecting and Mining Co., Limited, who is well known throughout New Zealand as a capable and reliable dredge master, has confirmed Mr Verchoyle’s report to his Association. Mr D. Maofa-rlane, Goldfields’ Warden for Westland, in a paper prepared by him, says of this district:— ' ' _ , “ Capital intelligently applied in conserving the water now running to waste in the Waiho, promises big returns to the venture. The terrace and workings referred to can never be worked to advantage without the assistance of capital, and it would be to the interests of all concerned, if labour and capital would so combine, as to win the golden treasure lying buried in the -terraces and Old River Beds of the Waiho Valley.” . In the winter of 1898 three miners obtained £1350 worth of gold m a few weeks by wing damming the river when low. The returns given must necessarily form but a very small proportion of the actual amount of gold won, but they are valuable as showing the great wealth of the district. An English Company named “ The Waiho Hydraulic Sluicing Co." is working ground immediately adjoining this claim. The same Company intend shortly to erect a dredge on the lower beaches of the Waiho. Shares will be allotted in order of priority of application. Dividends will be paid per share, irrespective of the amount called up. The expenses of flotation and ineorpor-atioTy. n shall be borne by the Company. - . . . , Copies of the Full Prospectus, with Reports Attached, may be obtained- on application to PHILIP HOARE, Sharebroker, Manchester Street, Christchuch (opposite N.Z.
