OBITUARY.
United Press Association—By Electric . Telegraph—Copyright. HOBART, May 7. Mr Pillinger, Minister of Lands, is dead. [Per Press Association.] WELINGTON, May 6. Private advice reports the death, at New York, of Mr H. B. Hyde, president of the Equitable Life Insurance Company, one of the founders of the society, and connected with it ever since it started. Information has been received in Christchurch that Mi T. S. Marshall died at Napier on 1 Saturday. Mr Marshall was one of the founders of the Linwood Football Club, and acted as its secretary for many years. He was also secretary of the Canterbury Rugby Union in 1892. In 1893 he retired from the secretaryship and served as a member of the committee. He was employed in the office of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, and left in 1894 to go into business on his own account in Napier.
