POST SESSIONAL ADDRESSES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Ifc seems strange to me that all-our M.H.R.’s secure votes of thanks and confidence no’matter whether they are Government supporters or supporters of the Ormosition. Had we had clean administration the Opposition, in my estimation, would have received no votes of confidence, as they will not disclose their policy—if they have any to offer. Of course, they would turn leaseholders into 'freeholders if they had the chance, and in time get the land back into few hands, and I am not sure that they would not repeal the Pensions for the. Aged Act if they had the power. Many like myself are disgusted;with the administration of affairs for some time past, but what can we do? If we turn this Government out, the other side may be no better, and most assuredly we may nob expect any progressive legislation from those who have opposed every good measure. We do get a iittle from the Government —not half what we ought to-—but still it is better than none. If Mr Seddon would only run straight, the Opposition would be utterly routed.:. As things stand, it is difficult to say how the next election will pan out We are told the next session will be a short one, which means that many Acts which should be passed will bo held over for a new Parliament. If we had an- Elective Executive, it might do away with so much washing of dirty linen which takes place each session. Let all M.H.R.’s be judged by their acts, and not whether they favour Mr Seddon or Captain Russell, and then post sessional addresses will be better understood.—l am, etc., , PUZZLED.
