MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The seventh annual general meeting of members- of the Fendalton Dramatic Club was held on Tuesday evening in St Barnabas’ Schoolroom, Mr H. W. Bishop (vicepresident) occupying the chair. There were about thirty members present, and the report and balance-sheet submitted by the committee were read - and adopted. The report stated that although the expenses of the year had been considerably increased, there was a small credit balance, and the membership stood at 83. Regret was expressed at the death of members of the-club, and at the departure of Canon Stack, one of the"vicepresidents. The following ' officers were elected for the ensuing year :—President, Mr Justice Denniston ; vice-presidents, Rev T. A. Hamilton and Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M. , secretary, MrT. H. Beckett ; assistant-secre-tary, Mr H. A. Adley; committee, Mesdames Adley, Kesteven and Simms, Messrs A. J. Barnard, P.Beckett, J. H. Brett and F. D. Macpherson. Votes of thanks to the Chairman and the retiring committee were passed, and the meeting terminated.
