A RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
[Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. An accident happened to the train which left Wellington at i. 30 this afternoon for the Lower Hutt. When nearing Petone the axlo of one of the trucks broke, with the result that some of the waggons left the rails and toppled over on to the beach. The trucks were considerably injured and the merchandise they contained was a good deal damaged. Fortunately, the passenger carriages remained on the rails, and no one suffered any personal injury. The permanent way was only slightly injured by the accident. The debris was soon cleared away, and no interruption was caused to traffic.
