THE SYNOD AND THE LIQUOR TRAFFIC.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir.—ln your issue of Nov. 15. your correspondent “FC." asks; “As there is no half-way or reduction vote at the 4 next election, l’ would like to ask how dees the Church intend to vote, License-or no license, or, in truth, God or the devil?” Now, it is well-known that the two 'intemperate parties in the House of Parliament made an unholy alliance'to try and stop any further advance in the cause of temperance. But the Christian Church and all Christians will surely follow the example and teachings, of Christ, the founder of Christianity, and nob the anti-Christian teachings of Mahomet, the founder of Mahometanism and nroliibibion.— I am, etc., 1 ’ BIBLE TRUTHS.
