The weather at Methven on Thursday was very bad, a north-west gale blowing all day, with rain. * There was a small yarding of sheep; which all changed hands at very good prices, considering the quality. Merino ewes in lamb brought 2s‘6d to 4s; cross-bred jwes in lainb, 5s Id to 6s; store lambs, 4s 6d to 5s 6d ; two-tooth crossbreds, 7s 7d, 7s 9d, Bs!6d; four-tooth crossbreds, 10s 9d; fat lambs, 7s 8d; fat crossbred wethers, 10s 9d to 12s 2d; fat merino ewes, 6s 2d. Pigs—Weaners 8s 6d to 9s 6d. There was no sale for cattle, hacks or draught horses.
