Quotations: —Alpine Extended 7s to os, Big River 6s 6d to 7s 6(i,- Buller Dredge 10s to 11s, Boatman’s Exploration 6d to 9d, Cumberland Extended' Is-to Is 3d, Dillon Extended 6d to 9d, Golden Lead 6d to 9d, Keop-it-Dark 26s to 275, No. 2 South Keep-it-Dark 8d to lOd, Kirwan’s Reward 4s to ss, Progress Mines (paid) 22s 6d to 25s 6d, Welcome (paid) 3s to 3s 6d, Electric Light Company 9d to 10d. Big River.—The mine manager reports : —The cross-cut from the chamber has been extended a further distance! of 12ft. The ground has become hard again. The contractors have driven the intermediate level 14ft. Occasionally quarte leaders are -met with, but none show gold.- .> .. ■ WESTPORT, May 15.' The following is the coal export for the week : —Westpoi't Coal Company 6227 tens 7cwt; Westport-Cardiff Company 996 tons 3cwt.
