DEATH OP A CHIEF. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 28.
The Maori chief Hake Wanga Wanga has died at Pebaweia, aged a hundred years. He celebrated his centenary birthday last Christmas. He remembered Heke’s raids perfectly.
