RECOVERY OF BODIES. GALLANTRY OF THE SEARCHERS. ; United Press Association—By ElectrioTetegraph— Copyright. Received March 24, aJO a-m. SYDNEY, March 24. The bodies of Hetherington and Green have been recovered. They were buried under extensive falls from the roof, caused by the explosion. It turns out that there were fifteen 'men in the mins, so that ten more bodies have yet to be recovered. The search parties are displaying great; gallantry, being driven back time after time by the noxious gases as well as by smoke from the fires. The inspectonstatea that these are confined to a small area. Carbon monoxide has been detected, and the Government has sent up anumber of white mice, these creatures being extremely sensitive!© the smallestpercentage of white damp in the atmosphere. The bodies of Haddon, Mowbray and the lad M’Dougall have been found dreadfully burned and decomposed; Later on the bodies of Jones and Rudge were found. All had died from inhaling poisonons gas. The bodies of the two latter were urcco» cognisable except by the clothes.
