At the weekly auctions of Australasian tallow 1400 casks were offered and 1150 sold. Fine mutton 20s, medium 18s. Fine beef 18s 9d, medium 17s 6d. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,310,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,210,000 quarters.

The American visible supply of wheat is 44,919,000 bushels. MELBOURNE. Nov. 11.
Five thousand bales of wool were offered at the sales, and 4375 were sold. There was an animated competition, and the prices compare favourably with late rates. The market was slightly firmer all round. NAPIER, Nov. 11. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company, London, cabled to Messrs Nelson Bros to-day:—“ There is a further fall in the values of Dunedin, Southland and North Island mutton to-day. Quotations are—Best Canterbury 3J-d, Dunedin and Southland 2Jd, Napier and North Island 2|d.” »
