I agree with you the State should at once provide them; also a Lord High Executioner; and every old, mxddleaged or young man or woman having no lawful visible or invisible means of support could be quietly knocked on the head or shot. It would he far more merciful treatment than slowly starving them, to death or giving them the humiliating process of applying to 'Bumble for the dole of one and ninepence a week.—l am, &c.,
