SYDENHAM MONEY CLUB.

The half-yearly meeting of the Sydenham Money Club was held yesterday even- 1 ing at the Wesleyan schoolroom, Sydenham. Mr J. Brown, vice-president, was In the chair, and there was a good attendance of officers and shareholders. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. R. Brunt, president, and Mr E. Jones, one of the trustees. The report and balance-sheet showed that the loans granted during the year amounted to 354397 15s 4d, being an increase of .£2015 Os lid over those for the previous year, and that since the formation of the club .£58,337 18s had been lent. The total cash receipts for the half-year were .£5787 8a sd, and the interest on the £512,058 13s, out amounted to £5537 15s 7d. Expenses for the six months amounted toJHSOrlfis 6d, and the profits for the half-year were represented by £5576 18s Id. The report recommended a dividend of IQd in the £, or nearly 8} per cent per.annum, to be added to each complete lOs standing to members’ credit on Juno 30; also, that £533 should be added to. the reserve account and £550 to the suspense account. A most favourable report from the auditors was also read. The report and balancesheet wore unanimously, .adopted, on the motion of Mr J. Brown, seconded by Mr C.
