POLITICAL ADDRESS.

[Per Press Association.] , WANGANUI, March 23. Mr J. Dating, .ex-member for Wellington City, addressed a ■ public meeting-to-night on the leading political questions of the day. Be strongly criticised the present- Government, who, ho .said, ware .neither Liberals . nor Socialists* but merely ■ opportunists. He ridiculed the Hok *.* J. , M’Kenzic’s . laud policy with its sixteen different tenures and cumbersome administration. Ho strongly condemned the banking legislation, and touched on the co-operative works system, which he dubbed a failure, and he went at some length into the affairs of the J. G. ■Ward Association. Ho spoke for two hours, and received a hearty vote of thanks.
