THE HOSPITAL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, With your kind permission I should like to join “Ex-Patient” in expressing my gratification—which I know is shared hy very many—that Dr Pox has withdrawn his resignation. It would have been a great misfortune had that gentleman’s services been lost to the community, as he is admittedly a most skilful surgeon, of whom one bears nothing but from patients and their friends. I quite endorse the views recently expressed by you, and hope the Board will see it to be to the advantage of the hospital that the position and salary of our house surgeon should more closely approximate to those in similar institutions in other centres. —I am, &c., CIVIS.
